JustGains Privacy Policy

JustGains is a fitness platform for tracking workouts, nutrition, goals, and cardio activity. The Service is operated by The Just Super Human Foundation ("we," "us," or "our"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us any time at privacy@justgains.com.

We only collect what we need to run the Service and give you a good experience. Depending on which features you use, this may include:

Account & Profile Information

Your name, username, email address, and password when you sign up, plus anything you choose to add to your profile such as a photo, bio, fitness goals, body measurements, and preferences. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account details from that provider.

Fitness & Nutrition Data

The exercises, sets, reps, weights, programs, workouts, meals, food logs, macros, goals, habits, and body metrics (such as weight and body-fat) you record in the app.

Location Data

Precise GPS location when you use the Activity recorder to track a run, ride, walk, or hike: including in the background. See Section 3 for full details.

Health & Fitness Platform Data

If you connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect, we access the data types you approve: such as steps, workouts, heart rate, weight, and body composition. See Section 4.

Contacts (Optional)

If you use "Find Friends," we read your contacts to help you connect with people already on JustGains. Contact details are hashed on your device, matched privately, and are never stored on our servers.

Photos, Camera & Media (Optional)

If you add a profile picture, share progress photos, import a recipe or workout from a photo, or use camera-based tools, we process the images and media you choose to provide.

Purchases

If you buy a subscription, our payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat) handle your payment. We receive your subscription status and transaction details, but not your full payment-card information.

Device & Usage Information

Technical details such as device model, operating system, app version, language, a device or push identifier, and how you interact with the Service (features used, screens viewed, and diagnostic/crash data). This helps us keep JustGains reliable and improve it.

If you choose to connect a health platform, JustGains can read and, where you allow it: write fitness data:

• Apple Health and Android Health Connect: we access only the data types you approve, such as steps, workouts, heart rate, weight, and body composition, to show your stats and improve progress tracking. When you ask us to, we may write your JustGains workouts and body metrics back to the platform.

Health data obtained through Apple Health or Health Connect is used solely to provide JustGains features you've enabled. It is never used for advertising or sold, and it is handled in line with Apple's and Google's health-data requirements. You can revoke this access at any time from your device's health settings.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, personalize, and maintain the Service.

• Track and display your workouts, nutrition, goals, and activities, and sync them across your devices.

• Power social features you opt into, such as friends, squads, leaderboards, and sharing.

• Send you notifications and important updates about the Service.

• Improve and develop new features, and analyze usage to make JustGains better.

• Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited situations:

• With your direction: content you choose to post or share (for example a shared route, workout, or profile) is visible to the audience you select.

• Service providers who help us operate JustGains and act on our instructions, for example cloud hosting, Mapbox (maps), RevenueCat and the app stores (subscriptions), push-notification delivery, and error/analytics tools (such as Sentry). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

• Legal reasons: to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we'll continue to protect your data under this policy.

We never sell or share your precise location, health data, or contacts for advertising.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure servers, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

You have control over your information. You can:

• Access and update your profile and personal information in the app.

• Delete your account and associated data from the app settings, or by contacting us.

• Grant, change, or revoke permissions: including location, health, contacts, camera, and notifications: at any time in your device settings.

• Opt out of non-essential notifications and marketing communications.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise any of these, just email us at privacy@justgains.com.

JustGains is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

JustGains is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. and other countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your data receives an appropriate level of protection wherever it's handled.

On our website, we use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of JustGains after an update means you accept the revised policy.
