Instructions
1. Start by standing or sitting in a comfortable, upright position, ensuring your spine is in a neutral position.
2. Slowly tuck your chin towards your chest, intending to bring your chin closer to your collarbone. Do this movement gently to prevent any strain.
3. Hold the position where a comfortable stretch is felt in the back of your neck. Stay in this stretch for 15-30 seconds, depending on your comfort level.
4. Breathe deeply and evenly throughout the stretch, relaxing your shoulders away from your ears to avoid creating tension in the upper trapezius.
5. After holding the stretch, gently lift your head back to a neutral starting position.
6. Repeat the stretch 2-3 times as necessary to reduce stiffness or as part of your flexibility routine.
Make sure you do not overstretch or continue the exercise if you experience any pain. Stretching should create a gentle pull, not discomfort or pain.
