Instructions

1. Positioning: Stand on a step or raised platform with the ball of one foot on the edge and the heel hanging off. The other foot can be slightly off the step or crossed behind the working leg.

2. Support: Hold onto a wall, railing, or another sturdy object for balance.

3. Lowering Movement: Lower your heel towards the ground to get a stretch in the calf of the working leg.

4. Lifting Movement: Push through the ball of your foot to raise your heel as high as possible, contracting your calf muscles at the top of the movement.

5. Return: Slowly lower back down to the starting position, allowing your heel to drop below the level of the step for a full stretch.

6. Complete repetitions on one leg before switching to the other leg.

7. Adjusting Difficulty: To increase difficulty, you can hold a dumbbell in one hand while performing the exercise or wear a weight belt.

Ensure continuous rigidity. Maintain control throughout the movement and avoid using momentum. Keep your back straight and core engaged to avoid any unnecessary strain on your body. Adjust the difficulty as needed by using body weight or adding resistance.
