Bodyweight Leg-Down Russian-Twist

Accurate?

Strengthen your core! This Russian Twist variation torches your abs with just your bodyweight. Simple, effective, and no equipment needed.

Instructions

1. Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat. Lift your feet slightly off the ground to balance on your sit bones if you can maintain balance.

2. Lean back slightly to engage your core muscles, making sure to keep your back straight to avoid strain.

3. Interlace your fingers in front of you, or if using a weight, hold it with both hands.

4. Twist your torso to the right, bringing your hands or weight beside you. Keep your movements controlled, and avoid letting your momentum carry you.

5. Return to the center and then twist to the left.

6. Continue to alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions.

7. For added difficulty, raise your feet higher off the ground or hold them closer to your body.

Remember to breathe steadily throughout the exercise, exhaling as you twist, and inhaling as you return to the center. Maintain a strong core to support your lower back throughout the movement. If using additional weight, choose an appropriate size that allows you to complete the exercise with good form and without strain.
