Instructions
Setup
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell with both hands in a neutral grip in front of your hips.
Movement
Initiate the movement similar to a conventional kettlebell swing by hinging at the hips and slightly engaging your core.
Instead of swinging the weight straight up, use the momentum to swing the kettlebell laterally around your torso.
As the bell travels around, shift your weight and rotate your hips and torso to follow the path of the weight.
Keep your arms relatively straight, allowing the bell to maintain a circular orbit around your hips.
Control the deceleration on the return path, keeping the movement fluid, and reverse the direction when finished with one side if required, or continue in a fluid motion.
Key Tips
Maintain an engaged core to stabilize your spine during rotation.
Keep the weight close to your body to minimize excessive leverage that could strain your lower back.
Focus on generating power from the hips rather than just using your arms.
