Dumbbell Reverse Overhead Lunge
Level up your stability and core strength. This advanced lunge challenges your balance and overhead mobility, targeting the legs, glutes, and shoulders for a total-body burn.
Instructions
Setup and Positioning
Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, holding a single dumbbell in one hand directly above your head with your arm fully extended.
Keep your core braced and your gaze forward throughout the movement to maintain stability.
Execution
Take a controlled step backward with the leg on the same side as the overhead dumbbell.
Lower your hips until both knees are bent at roughly a 90-degree angle, ensuring your front knee stays behind your toes.
Keep your torso upright and the weight stabilized directly over your shoulder throughout the entire lunge.
Push off the ball of your back foot to return to the starting standing position.
Complete the desired number of repetitions on one side before switching the dumbbell to the opposite hand and repeating with the other leg.
