Across-Body Lat Pull-Around

Maximize lat width with this pinpoint isolator. The across-body path provides an intense deep stretch and peak contraction that standard pull-downs can't match. Perfect for back thickness.

Instructions

Setup

Set the cable pulley to a low position. Grab the single-hand attachment with a neutral grip (palm facing in). Kneel down with your knee closest to the machine planted on the floor, and your other knee up so your foot is flat on the floor.

Execution

With your arm extended and palm facing inward, initiate the pull by driving your elbow down and back, bringing the handle across your body towards the opposite hip pocket. Focus on contracting your latissimus dorsi. Keep your core tight and avoid excessive torso rotation. Return the handle slowly to the starting position, allowing for a full stretch in the lat. Maintain a straight line between the cable and your wrist throughout the pull. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions before switching sides.
