Instructions

Baseball Hit Plyometrics

Positioning

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
2. Hold the baseball bat in both hands, gripping it firmly.
3. Position the bat over your shoulder or at waist height, depending on comfort.
4. Bend your knees slightly for stability and balance.

Movement

1. Preparation Phase: Shift your weight to your back foot while rotating your hips slightly. Keep your eyes focused ahead, as if you were watching a pitch.
2. Swing Phase:
- As you push off your back foot, rotate your hips and transfer your weight to your front foot.
- Bring the bat forward in a smooth, controlled motion, aiming for a follow-through.
- Your arms should extend fully as you “hit” the imaginary ball.
3. Follow-Through Phase:
- Allow your bat to continue its motion until it is parallel to the ground.
- Finish with your body facing forward, standing tall and balanced.

Tips

- Keep your core engaged throughout the movement to maintain stability.
- Inhale as you prepare, and exhale as you swing.
- Practice the motion slowly at first, then increase speed as you become more comfortable.
