Wide Hip Stretch
Deepen your mobility with this essential inner thigh and groin opener. A controlled, restorative stretch designed to release hip tension and improve range of motion through gentle positioning.
Instructions
Setup
Start in a tabletop position on your hands and knees on an exercise mat.
Slowly widen your knees further apart than shoulder-width.
Keep your feet in line with your knees, with your inner ankles facing outward.
Keep your feet flexed (toes pointing outward) if possible to maintain contact with the floor.
Execution
Gently press your hips backward toward your heels while keeping your palms planted firmly on the floor.
Feel the stretch developing along your inner thighs and through the hips.
Aim to keep your spine neutral and your back straight throughout the movement.
Hold the position for the duration, breathing deeply to allow the muscles to release tension.
Avoid forcing the stretch; move to the point of mild discomfort, not pain.
