Instructions
Setup
Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Sit tall with your spine neutral, extending your arms forward at shoulder height.
Movement
Initiate the V-Sit: Lean your torso back slightly while simultaneously lifting your legs, balancing on your sit bones to form a 'V' shape with your body. Keep your core tight and your back straight.
Transition to Sit-Up: From the held V-sit, lower your legs back to the floor while slowly hinging your torso back toward the ground. Before your back touches, use your core strength to reverse the motion, pulling your torso back up into a seated position while lifting your legs again.
Repeat: Continue to cycle between the V-hold and the seated position, maintaining constant tension in your abdominal muscles throughout the movement.
Tips for Success
Focus on a controlled, slow tempo rather than momentum.
Keep your belly button drawn in toward your spine to protect your lower back.
