Typewriter Squat
Instructions
Positioning
Start by stepping your feet out into a wide stance, wider than shoulder-width apart.
Sink into a deep lateral lunge on one side by bending one knee while keeping the other leg fully extended.
Ensure your feet are planted firmly on the ground, pointing forward or slightly outward depending on your hip mobility.
Movement
While maintaining the low, deep squat position, shift your weight steadily from one side to the other, moving from one side-lunge position to the opposite side-lunge position.
Keep your torso relatively upright throughout the movement, avoiding leaning too far forward.
Your hips should stay at the same low height throughout the transition across. Imagine your hips moving along a horizontal line.
Engage your core to stabilize your upper body and protect your lower back while moving through the range of motion.
