Instructions
Setup
Standing in a comfortable, upright position, hold a towel or strap in both hands.
Execution
Reach one arm overhead and bend the elbow, letting the towel drape down your back between your shoulder blades.
Reach the other arm behind your lower back, palm facing outward, and grab the lower end of the hanging towel.
Using the top arm as a guide, gently pull the towel upward with your bottom hand to stretch the front and internal structures of the shoulder of the top arm.
Alternatively, use the top arm to gently pull the towel downward to stretch the shoulder of the bottom arm.
Key Tips
Maintain a neutral spine and avoid overarching the lower back.
Move slowly and stop as soon as you feel a comfortable tension in the shoulder and upper back area.
Keep your chin tucked to avoid excess neck strain.
