Instructions

Setup

  • Stand with your back flat against a sturdy wall.

  • Slide your back down the wall into a squat position so that your thighs are parallel to the floor, or slightly higher depending on comfort.

  • Ensure your feet are placed at a comfortable distance from the wall, roughly hip-width apart.

Movement

  • Maintain the squat position with your back firmly against the wall.

  • Engage your core to keep your lower back pressed against the support.

  • Raise your heels off the ground, shifting your weight onto the balls of your feet.

  • Hold this position—balancing on your toes—for the desired duration or repetition goal.

Form Tips

  • Keep your knees aligned with your toes; do not let them cave inward.

  • Breathe steadily throughout the hold.

  • Focus on sustained contraction in the quad and continuous engagement of the calf muscles.
