Toe Lift
Instructions
Setup
Stand facing away from a wall or use a solid vertical surface for stability.
Position your feet a few inches away from the wall to provide adequate clearance for your toes.
Place your back against the wall, or lighty touch it with your fingertips for balance as shown.
Movement
Keep your heels planted firmly on the ground throughout the movement.
Actively lift your toes and the forefoot off the floor by contracting the muscles at the front of your lower leg (tibialis anterior).
Pause briefly at the top to feel a strong contraction.
Slowly lower your toes back to the floor in a controlled manner.
Tips
Ensure you are not leaning forward; maintain an upright torso.
Focus on an isolated movement of the ankle; do not use your hips or knees to generate momentum.
