Setup

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and hinge at your hips so your torso is nearly parallel to the floor.

  2. Keep your back neutral and engage your core to maintain stability.

  3. Let your arms hang straight down towards the floor with your palms facing inward (thumbs pointed forward).

Movement

  1. Initiate the movement by lifting your arms outward and upward at a 45-degree angle from your body, creating a 'Y' shape.

  2. Keep your arms straight, maintaining the thumb-up position throughout the movement.

  3. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement.

  4. Slowly control the descent back to the starting position.
