Instructions
1. Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart and hands clasped together at chest height, elbows bent and pointing outward.
2. Shift your weight onto your left foot, keeping your body facing forward.
3. Begin the exercise by turning your torso to the right while simultaneously lifting your right knee towards your left elbow.
4. Try to touch your knee with your elbow or bring them as close together as possible, engaging the oblique muscles.
5. Twist your torso back to the starting forward-facing position while lowering your right leg back to the ground.
6. Repeat the movement for the desired number of reps before switching to raise the left knee towards the right elbow while turning the torso to the left.
7. Be sure to maintain balance and control throughout the movement, using your arms and standing leg for stability.
8. For added challenge, do not let your foot touch the ground between reps, thus engaging your balance and stabilizer muscles more intensely.
9. Breathe out as you lift the knee and twist, and breathe in as you return to the starting position.
10. After completing a set on both sides, rest briefly before beginning the next set.
