Standing Single-Leg Calf Concentration Raise
Instructions
Stand on an elevated step with the ball of one foot while letting the heel hang off the edge, and hold onto a sturdy chair or wall for balance.
Keep your working leg straight with a soft knee bend and lift your other foot off the floor.
Exhale and press through the ball of your foot to raise your heel as high as possible, contracting your calf muscle at the top.
Inhale as you slowly lower your heel back down below the step level to feel a deep stretch in your calf.
Complete all desired repetitions on one leg before switching to the other side.
