Instructions

Setup

Sit tall on a stability ball with feet flat on the floor, about hip-width apart. Maintain upright posture throughout the movement to focus the stretch on the neck.

Execution

  1. Begin by looking straight ahead with your shoulders relaxed.

  2. Inhale deeply, then slowly turn your head to the right, aiming to look over your shoulder without rotating your thoracic spine (upper back).

  3. Hold this position for a gentle stretch, keeping your chest open and upright.

  4. Slowly return your head to the center position.

  5. Repeat the movement on the left side, turning your head slowly to look over your left shoulder.

Tips

  • Keep your movements slow and controlled to avoid muscle strain.

  • If you feel any sharp pain, decrease the range of motion.

  • Keep your chin level throughout the turn, rather than tilting it up or down.
