Slow Controlled Combo Kick
Instructions
Setup
Begin in a balanced, low stance with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart. Keep your core tight and maintain an athletic posture.
Execution
Initiate the Rotation: Shift your weight onto one leg while simultaneously reaching down toward the floor with the hand on the same side as your lead leg.
Grounding: Plant your hand firmly on the ground for stability while bracing your torso.
The Kick: Fluidly sweep your trailing leg in a wide, controlled arc across the floor. Ensure the movement is driven from the hip, keeping the kicking leg relatively straight.
Rotation and Recovery: As the leg completes the arc, pivot on your supporting foot and bring the kicking leg back to the starting position with control. Ensure your body rotates through the motion smoothly.
Stability and Control
Maintain a constant, controlled pace throughout the entire range of motion, rather than using momentum to swing the leg.
