Instructions

Instructions for Skater Hop Tap:

1. Start from a standing position with feet shoulder-width apart.

2. Shift your weight to your left foot and perform a lateral hop to the right side, landing on your right foot.

3. Simultaneously, reach down and lightly tap the ground with your left hand, making sure to keep your back straight and head up. Your left leg should swing behind your right leg as you reach down.

4. Push off from your right foot and hop to the left side, landing on your left foot and swinging your right leg behind, reaching down to tap the ground with your right hand.

5. Focus on balancing on one leg as you land each hop, keeping the opposite leg off the ground to work on stability and control.

6. Continue alternating sides for each hop, performing a tap on each side. Keep your movements fluid and try to maintain a rhythmic pace.

7. Perform the exercise for the desired number of repetitions or time duration, ensuring to maintain form throughout.

Be sure to engage your core throughout the movement to help with balance and stabilization. The skater hop tap is a dynamic exercise that can help improve your lateral agility, balance, and lower body power.
