Instructions
Sitting Lotus Rest Pose
Positioning:
1. Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit on a mat or a flat surface.
2. Sit down with your legs extended in front of you.
3. Bend your knees and bring your feet in, crossing them in a way that the soles of your feet are facing upwards (this is the lotus position).
4. Rest your hands on your knees, palms facing up or down according to your preference.
Movement:
1. Ensure your spine is straight and shoulders are relaxed.
2. Close your eyes gently and take deep breaths through your nose, filling your lungs completely, and then exhale slowly through your mouth.
3. Focus on relaxing your body and mind. Stay in this position for several minutes, continuing to breathe deeply.
4. If your legs become uncomfortable, you can switch the position of your feet or uncross them temporarily.
Tips:
- If you find it difficult to sit in the lotus position, you can cross your legs in a simpler manner that feels comfortable for you.
- Aim to practice for 5-10 minutes, gradually increasing the duration as you become more comfortable in the pose.
