Instructions
1. Start in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands clasped together in front of you at shoulder height, as shown in the first image.
2. Take a wide step to the right to enter into a side lunge, simultaneously bringing your clasped hands down to the outside of your right knee. Keep your left leg straight and bend into your right leg as you lower into the lunge, shown in the second image.
3. Push off your right leg to return to the standing position, bringing your hands back up above your head as seen in the third image, resembling the motion of a wood chop.
4. Repeat the same motion, stepping to the left side and bringing your hands down to the outside of your left knee, then return to the start position with hands above your head.
5. Continue to alternate between right and left side lunges with the wood chop motion for the desired number of repetitions and sets.
Remember to maintain control during the movement, paying special attention to your form to avoid injury and to maximize the effectiveness of the exercise.
