Instructions

Setup

  • Sit on an upright or slightly inclined exercise bench with your feet planted firmly on the floor for stability.

  • Hold a pair of dumbbells at shoulder height with your palms facing forward or inward toward each other.

Movement

  • Start by pressing one dumbbell directly overhead until your arm is fully extended, while holding the other dumbbell stationary at the shoulder.

  • As you lower the extended dumbbell back to the starting position, simultaneously press the opposite dumbbell upward.

  • Maintain a steady, rhythmic, 'see-saw' motion, ensuring one dumbbell is moving up as the other moves down.

Tips

  • Keep your core engaged and your back pressed against the bench throughout the movement to avoid overarching.

  • Do not lock your elbows at the top of the movement to maintain constant tension on the deltoids.
