Positioning

  • Sit on a yoga mat with your legs bent and feet lifted off the floor.

  • Lean your torso back slightly, maintaining a straight spine and engaging your core.

  • Place your hands on the floor behind or beside your hips for stability, keeping your arms straight.

Execution

  • Keep your knees and feet together.

  • Trace a figure-eight pattern in the air with your knees by drawing them in toward your chest, extending them out, sweeping them to one side, and then bringing them back in and around to the other side.

  • Ensure the movement originates from your core strength rather than momentum.

  • Maintain control throughout the entire figure-eight motion, keeping your chest lifted and shoulders back.
