Instructions

Setup

Sit in a seated leg press machine. Position your feet on the center or lower half of the platform, keeping legs mostly straight but with a slight, locked-in bend at the knees to maintain tension and protect the joint.

Movement

  1. Use your ankles and calves to explosively push the platform away from you, simulating a jumping motion at the ankle joint.

  2. Allow your heels to dip backward, stretching the calves as the weight returns under control.

  3. Immediately transition into the next repetition without resting at the bottom.

Form Tips

  • Focus on generating the movement primarily from the calves.

  • Maintain a controlled, rhythmic, and continuous bouncing motion.

  • Ensure the knees do not move significantly; the range of motion should come from plantar flexion and dorsiflexion of the ankle.
