Reverse Leg Extension Crunch
Tone your lower abs with this effective combo. By pairing a reverse crunch with a controlled leg extension, you’ll maximize core engagement and stability for a stronger, sculpted midsection.
Instructions
Setup
Lie flat on your back on a yoga mat.
Place your arms flat by your sides, palms facing down, to provide support.
Bring your knees toward your chest, positioning your feet off the floor.
Movement
Phase 1: Crunch: Engage your core to lift your hips and lower back slightly off the mat, bringing your knees toward your chest.
Phase 2: Extension: Slowly extend your legs forward and downward toward the floor, keeping your back pressed firmly against the mat to ensure abdominal engagement.
Phase 3: Return: Hold for a brief moment as your legs are straight but slightly off the ground, then bring your knees back in toward your chest to complete the repetition.
Form Tips
Keep your core tight throughout the entire movement.
Ensure your lower back maintains contact with the floor, especially podczas the extension phase, to prevent strain. If your back arches, do not lower your legs as far.
