Reverse Crunch with Drop Leg
Target your lower abs and deep core stability. This hybrid move combines a hip lift with a controlled leg lower to maximize tension and build serious abdominal strength.
Instructions
Setup
Lie flat on your back on a yoga mat or comfortable surface.
Keep your arms extended by your sides, palms pressed into the floor for stability.
Movement
Reverse Crunch Phase: Engage your abdominals to lift your hips off the floor, bringing your knees toward your chest. Ensure the movement is controlled and driven by your core, not by momentum.
Lowering Phase: Slowly lower your hips and extend your legs straight toward the floor. Keep your lower back pressed firmly against the mat throughout this movement; if you feel your back arching, do not lower your legs as far.
Repeat: Maintain steady breathing and focus on the deep abdominal engagement as you repeat the sequence.
