Instructions

Setup

  • Lie on your side on the yoga mat with your legs extended, stacked on top of each other.

  • Position the resistance band just above your knees.

  • Support your head with your lower arm and place your other hand on the floor in front of you for stability.

Movement

  • Maintain a straight top leg and engage your core to keep your hips stacked and still throughout the movement.

  • Slowly lift your top leg toward the ceiling against the resistance of the band.

  • Pause briefly at the top of the movement, squeezing your hip muscles.

  • Control the descent as you return the leg to the starting position without letting it touch the bottom leg completely, maintaining tension in the band.
