Instructions

Setup

  • Attach a resistance band to a high anchor point on a squat rack or stable pillar.

  • Stand facing the anchor point, holding the band in both hands with your arms extended in front of you at shoulder height.

  • Step back slightly to create tension in the band, keeping your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.

Movement

  • Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the entire movement; do not actively bend or straighten your arms.

  • Keep your back straight and core engaged.

  • Initiate the pull by driving your shoulders down and back, focusing your effort on your lats to bring the band down toward your thighs.

  • Squeeze your lats firmly at the bottom of the movement for a brief pause.

  • In a controlled motion, slowly return to the starting position while resisting the band's pull, ensuring your arms finish back at shoulder height.
