Positioning:
1. Find a flat, comfortable surface to lie on, such as a yoga mat or soft carpet.
2. Lie down on your back with your legs extended straight and close together.
3. Keep your arms relaxed by your sides or place them across your abdomen for comfort.
4. Ensure your head is in a neutral position, with your neck relaxed and aligned with your spine.
Movement:
1. Focus on your breathing. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to expand.
2. Exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension from your body.
3. Maintain a still position, allowing your muscles to relax completely.
4. Hold the pose for as long as comfortable, aiming for 5-10 minutes to create a calming effect.
Tips:
- If you feel any discomfort in your lower back, consider placing a small cushion or rolled towel under your knees for support.
- Stay mindful of how your body feels, adjusting your position if needed.
- Use this pose to help center yourself or to cool down after a workout.
