Instructions

1. Begin by standing parallel to an aerobic step or elevated platform, with your right side closer to the step.

2. Shift your weight onto your left leg.

3. Step sideways onto the platform with your right foot, planting it firmly.

4. Push off the ground with your left foot and as you come up, drive your left knee up towards your chest, balancing on your right leg at the top of the movement.

5. Slowly lower your left leg back to the ground, returning to the starting position next to step.

6. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions before switching to the other side and repeating the same steps with the left foot stepping onto the platform and the right knee driving.

Ensure that each movement is controlled and that balance is maintained throughout the exercise. The focus should be on a smooth motion rather than speed. To increase difficulty, you can hold dumbbells in your hands or use a higher platform.
