Instructions

Setup

  • Begin in a half-kneeling position with one knee on the floor and the other foot planted firmly in front of you, forming a 90-degree angle with your front leg.

  • Ensure your hips are square and your torso is upright.

Execution

  • Engage your core to maintain stability.

  • Begin to rotate your torso toward the side of your front leg.

  • Place your opposite hand on the outside of your front knee for leverage, while placing the other hand on your lower back or hip.

  • Look toward the direction of your rotation to facilitate a deeper stretch.

  • Hold the position gently to lengthen the hip flexors and mobilize the thoracic spine.

  • Ensure the movement comes from your core and thoracic spine, not by shifting your hips.
