Instructions

Jump Pistol Squat on Box

Positioning:
1. Stand in front of the box with your feet shoulder-width apart.
2. Extend one leg in front of you, keeping it straight. This will be the leg you are not using for the squat.
3. Keep your chest lifted and engage your core to maintain balance.

Movement Instructions:
1. Lower your body into a squat position on the standing leg by bending your knee while keeping the extended leg lifted.
2. Go down as low as you comfortably can, aiming to keep your weight distributed over the standing leg.
3. Once you are in a low squat, generate power through your standing leg.
4. Push through your heel and explode upward, using your standing leg to jump onto the box.
5. As you jump, bring your extended leg up and forward, keeping it straight as you land softly on the box.
6. Stand fully upright on the box, ensuring both feet are secured on the surface.
7. Carefully step back down to the starting position with both feet before repeating the exercise.

Tips for Beginners:
- Start with a lower box to build strength and confidence.
- Focus on maintaining good form throughout the movement to prevent injury.
- If jumping feels too challenging, practice the squat motion without jumping first.
- Ensure you have a clear space around you to avoid any obstacles while performing the exercise.
