Instructions

Setup

  1. Begin in a forearm plank position, with your elbows directly under your shoulders and your body forming a straight line from head to heels.

  2. Keep your core braced and glutes squeezed.

Movement

  1. Exhale and slowly lift your hips toward the ceiling by pushing through your elbows, walking your feet slightly forward if necessary to create an inverted 'V' shape with your body.

  2. Ensure your back remains flat throughout the movement.

  3. Pause briefly at the top of the pike position, feeling the stretch in your shoulders and core engagement.

  4. Inhale and slowly lower your hips back to the starting forearm plank position.

Key Tips

  • Avoid letting your lower back sag at the bottom of the movement.

  • Keep your neck neutral between your arms.

  • Focus on using your core muscles to drive the hips up rather than just pushing with your legs.
