Instructions
Setup
Kneel on one knee on a mat or soft surface.
Step the other foot forward so that your knee is bent at a 90-degree angle, with your foot flat on the floor.
Keep your torso upright and your shoulders stacked above your hips.
Execution
Gently shift your weight and lean forward into your front leg using your hips.
Keep your glutes engaged to protect your lower back and maximize the stretch on the hip flexor of the back leg.
Hold the position while maintaining a neutral spine and keeping your chest lifted.
Ensure your back knee remains stable on the floor.
Breathe deeply throughout the hold to improve relaxation into the stretch.
