Instructions
Setup
Place an exercise bench on a stable surface. Lie on your back on the floor, positioning your hips close to the bench. Place your feet firmly on top of the bench with your knees bent.
Movement
Initiate the movement by driving through your heels to lift your hips off the floor. Do not push off with your toes.
Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement, ensuring your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your knees.
Keep your core braced throughout to prevent overextending your lower back.
Slowly lower your hips back toward the floor while maintaining control.
Form Tips
Avoid using your lower back to lift; focus on the contraction of the glutes.
Keep your chin tucked slightly to maintain a neutral spine position.
Ensure your feet remain secure on the bench surface throughout the entire range of motion.
