Instructions

Setup

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a pair of dumbbells at shoulder height with your palms facing forward.

Movement

  • Press: Push the dumbbells upward and out to the sides, moving through an arc until your arms are fully extended overhead.

  • Alignment: In the top position, your body and arms should form a 'Y' shape, with your palms facing forward or inward depending on comfort.

  • Lowering: Slowly and with control, return the weights to the starting shoulder-height position along the same path.

Form Tips

  • Keep core engaged and avoid arching your lower back.

  • Maintain a steady, controlled tempo throughout both the pressing and lowering phases.
