Instructions
Setup
Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart for a stable base.
Hold a pair of dumbbells securely in your hands with a neutral or palms-facing-in grip.
Raise both arms fully extended overhead.
Execution
Keep your upper arms stationary close to your ears throughout the movement; only your forearms should move.
Slowly lower the weights behind your head by bending at the elbows, inhaling as you descend.
Pause briefly when your forearms reach a position parallel to the floor or lower.
Contract your triceps to press the dumbbells back up to the starting, fully extended position, exhaling on the way up.
Maintain a straight, upright spine with your core engaged to prevent leaning or arching your lower back.
