Instructions

Setup

  • Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart for a stable base.

  • Hold a pair of dumbbells securely in your hands with a neutral or palms-facing-in grip.

  • Raise both arms fully extended overhead.

Execution

  • Keep your upper arms stationary close to your ears throughout the movement; only your forearms should move.

  • Slowly lower the weights behind your head by bending at the elbows, inhaling as you descend.

  • Pause briefly when your forearms reach a position parallel to the floor or lower.

  • Contract your triceps to press the dumbbells back up to the starting, fully extended position, exhaling on the way up.

  • Maintain a straight, upright spine with your core engaged to prevent leaning or arching your lower back.
