Instructions

Setup

Standing tall, position yourself safely behind a sturdy chair. Place your hands lightly on the top or backrest of the chair for balance. Keep your feet hip-width apart and your core engaged.

Movement

  1. Slowly rise onto the balls of your feet, lifting your heels as high as possible while maintaining a neutral spine.

  2. Hold the peak position for a second to maximize the contraction in your calf muscles.

  3. With control, lower your heels back down to the ground.

Form Tips

  • Avoid leaning too heavily on the chair; use it only for balance.

  • Maintain slow, deliberate movement to ensure the work is done by your muscles rather than momentum.

  • Keep your ankles stable, avoiding rolling them inward or outward.
