Instructions
Setup
Set an adjustable bench to a 45-degree incline position.
Place the bench in front of a cable machine so that the seat faces away from the pulley system.
Attach a single handle or rope attachment to the high pulley set at a height that allows the cable to come over the top of the bench.
Execution
Sit on the bench and lean back against the backrest to stabilize your torso.
Grasp the attachment with both hands, extending your arms fully overhead with your elbows pointed toward the ceiling.
Keeping your upper arms stationary against your head, slowly lower the attachment behind your head by bending your elbows until you feel a deep stretch in your triceps.
Pause briefly at the bottom, then use your triceps to extend your arms back to the starting position.
Keep your movement controlled throughout the rep to ensure maximum tension on the target muscle.
