Instructions

Setup

  • Attach a cable cuff to your wrist. Set the cable pulley around the height of your wrist when your arm is resting at your side, as shown in the video.

  • Stand sideways to the machine, holding the machine's post with your non-working hand for stability.

Movement

  • Start with your arm fully extended and the cable slightly behind your torso.

  • Keeping a slight bend in your elbow throughout the movement, lift your arm laterally away from your body until it reaches shoulder height.

  • Focus on initiating the movement by driving your elbow upward rather than pulling with your hand.

  • Squeeze your lateral delt at the peak of the movement.

  • Controlled and slow, lower the weight back to the starting position, maintaining constant tension on the muscle.
