Bodyweight Single-Leg Deadlift to Diagonal Reach
Instructions
Setup
Stand tall on one leg with a slight bend in your knee, keeping your hips square and core engaged.
Movement
Primary Hinge: While keeping your back flat, hinge forward at your hips, extending your non-working leg straight back behind you for balance.
Diagonal Reach: As you hinge, reach the arm on the side of your lifted leg across the front of your body toward the floor, tapping the area in front of your standing foot if possible, or reaching as low as your flexibility permits.
Return: Squeeze your glute and hamstring to rise back to the starting position.
Form Tips
Keep your lifted leg straight and your hips facing down toward the floor throughout the movement.
Focus on maintaining balance through the foot of your standing leg.
Perform the exercise on one side for the duration of the set or alternate sides based on your program.
