Instructions

Setup

  • Begin in a standing position with feet hip-width apart and core engaged.

  • Take a controlled step backward with one leg and lower your hips until both knees form approximately 90-degree angles. Ensure your front knee is aligned over your ankle and your back knee is hovering just above the ground.

Movement

  • From this stationary lunge position, simultaneously extend one arm straight up toward the ceiling while maintaining your balance.

  • Focus on maintaining a straight, upright torso; do not lean forward or backward significantly.

  • Return your arm to the starting position by your side.

  • Continue the arm motion for the desired repetitions before swapping the lead leg. Keep your core tight throughout to stabilize your spine and prevent excessive arching in the lower back.
