Bodyweight Overhead Static Reach Lunge
Instructions
Setup
Begin in a standing position with feet hip-width apart and core engaged.
Take a controlled step backward with one leg and lower your hips until both knees form approximately 90-degree angles. Ensure your front knee is aligned over your ankle and your back knee is hovering just above the ground.
Movement
From this stationary lunge position, simultaneously extend one arm straight up toward the ceiling while maintaining your balance.
Focus on maintaining a straight, upright torso; do not lean forward or backward significantly.
Return your arm to the starting position by your side.
Continue the arm motion for the desired repetitions before swapping the lead leg. Keep your core tight throughout to stabilize your spine and prevent excessive arching in the lower back.
