Instructions

Setup

Standing tall with a neutral spine, position your feet at a comfortable hip-width distance. Maintain a slight bend in your knees and engage your core to stabilize your torso.

Movement

  1. Begin by hinging slightly at the hips, keeping your back straight and chest open.

  2. Allow your arms to swing freely in a rhythmic, pendulum-like motion.

  3. Bring your arms up to shoulder height in front of you while inhaling, and then swing them back behind you past your hips while exhaling.

  4. Ensure the movement is driven from the shoulder joints rather than force. Focus on fluid, controlled swings that help warm up the shoulder complex and upper back.

Tips for Success

  • Keep your shoulders relaxed and down—avoid shrugging toward your ears.

  • Maintain a consistent rhythm throughout the duration of the movement.

  • Keep your core engaged to prevent excessive arching or rounding of the lower back.
