Instructions

Setup

Place a resistance loop band around both legs, positioning it just above the knees. Stand with feet hip-width apart, ensuring tension is maintained in the band throughout the movement.

Execution

  1. Forward Lunge: Step into a forward lunge, keeping the torso upright while the band challenges you to maintain proper knee alignment.

  2. Lateral Lunge: From the starting position, step out directly to the side into a lateral lunge, keeping the trailing leg straight and pushing the hips back.

  3. Reverse Lunge: Return to center and step directly backward into a reverse lunge, keeping the chest up and core engaged.

Focus

  • Knee Control: The primary goal is to resist the band pulling your knees inward; keep knees tracked directly over your toes through all three lunge directions.

  • Stability: Maintain an engaged core to stabilize the torso, especially during the transition between lunges.
