Instructions

Setup

  • Sit upright on a stability ball with your feet planted firmly on the floor at hip-width distance to maintain balance.

  • Maintain a neutral spine and engage your core muscles.

Movement

  • Raise one arm straight up toward the ceiling.

  • Lean your torso slowly and controlled to the opposite side, keeping your hips stable on the ball. You should feel a stretch along the side of your torso (your obliques).

  • Hold the stretch momentarily, then return to the starting upright position by using your core strength.

  • Switch arms and lean to the other side to complete the next repetition.

Tips

  • Keep movements slow and deliberate rather than using momentum.

  • Ensure the ball remains stationary throughout the movement.
