Instructions

Setup

  • Begin in a standard forearm plank position with your elbows directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to heels.

  • Keep your feet hip-width apart and engage your core and glutes to maintain a stable, flat back.

Movement

  • Without shifting your weight or rotating your hips, lift one arm off the floor.

  • Reach the arm forward and diagonally to the side, maintaining a controlled movement.

  • Briefly hold at the peak of the reach while focusing heavily on core stability.

  • Return your forearm back to the starting position under your shoulder.

  • Perform the next repetition by reaching out with the opposite arm.

Tips

  • The primary challenge is preventing your torso from shifting or rotating as you lift an arm, so keep your core tight throughout.

  • If you struggle with stability, widen your foot stance for a stronger base.
