Alternating Side Forearm Reach Plank
Instructions
Setup
Begin in a standard forearm plank position with your elbows directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to heels.
Keep your feet hip-width apart and engage your core and glutes to maintain a stable, flat back.
Movement
Without shifting your weight or rotating your hips, lift one arm off the floor.
Reach the arm forward and diagonally to the side, maintaining a controlled movement.
Briefly hold at the peak of the reach while focusing heavily on core stability.
Return your forearm back to the starting position under your shoulder.
Perform the next repetition by reaching out with the opposite arm.
Tips
The primary challenge is preventing your torso from shifting or rotating as you lift an arm, so keep your core tight throughout.
If you struggle with stability, widen your foot stance for a stronger base.
