Instructions

1. Lie flat on your back with your knees bent, feet flat on the floor.

2. Lift your feet up bringing your knees towards your chest.

3. Open your knees wider than your torso, then bring them towards your armpits.

4. Reach up and grab the outside edges of your feet with your hands. If you can't reach your feet, loop a belt or towel over each foot.

5. Gently pull your feet down, so your knees get closer to the floor while ensuring your ankles stay over your knees, so your shins are perpendicular to the floor.

6. Keep your back flat on the floor, and try not to let it arch.

7. For the "rocking" motion, gently sway side to side. This is optional and can be done if it feels comfortable.

8. Hold the pose for 30-60 seconds, remembering to breathe deeply and steadily.

9. Release your feet and gently place them back on the floor.

10. Repeat the stretch if desired, ensuring a slow and controlled movement throughout.

Remember to move within a range that is comfortable and without pain. This stretch should feel relaxing and help release tension in the hips and lower back.
