Instructions

1. Begin by lying flat on your back on an exercise mat, legs extended straight up towards the ceiling, and arms extended above your head, reaching straight up towards your toes.

2. Contract your abdominal muscles and lift your upper body off the mat, engaging your core while keeping your chin off your chest. Your arms should remain straight as you reach towards your toes.

3. As you lift, exhale and strive to touch your toes with your fingertips. Your legs should remain as straight as possible during this movement.

4. Hold the upper position for a brief moment, then slowly lower your upper body back down to the mat while inhaling.

5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of reps and sets.

Be sure to keep the movement controlled, and focus on using your abs to lift rather than momentum or swinging your arms.
