Instructions

Kettlebell Half Kneeling One Arm Bottoms Up Press

1. Starting Position:
- Begin by kneeling on the floor with one knee on the ground. Your other leg should be bent at a 90-degree angle in front of you with your foot flat on the floor. This is your base position.

2. Kettlebell Positioning:
- Hold the kettlebell with one hand so that the bottom of the kettlebell is facing upwards, which is key to the 'bottoms up' grip. Your elbow should be close to your body with your forearm vertical.

3. Engage Your Core:
- Before moving, engage your core muscles to maintain stability throughout the exercise. Keep your torso upright and straight.

4. Pressing Movement:
- Inhale and as you exhale, press the kettlebell overhead by extending your arm while keeping your wrist straight. Your arm should be fully extended above your shoulder at the top of the movement.

5. Return to Start:
- Slowly lower the kettlebell back to the starting position, ensuring control throughout the movement. Avoid letting the kettlebell swing back down; instead, focus on a smooth descent.

6. Repetition:
- Perform the desired number of repetitions with one arm before switching to the other arm.

7. Alignment:
- Throughout the exercise, make sure your knee on the ground is lined up directly under your hip and that your front knee stays aligned over your ankle.

8. Breathing:
- Remember to breathe in during the lowering phase and breathe out as you press the kettlebell up.

Tips

- Start with a lighter kettlebell to ensure proper form before progressing to heavier weights.
- Maintain a neutral spine and avoid leaning towards the kettlebell.
- Perform this exercise in a controlled manner to avoid injury and maximize effectiveness.
